Deez Nails at Pretty Little Pink Gala
Yesterday, over 130 Shoppers Drug Mart stores in Canada participated in a beauty gala in hopes of raising funds for the “Look Good Feel Better” campaign. It was an exciting day filled with prizes, refreshments, sales and awesome staff and supporters! Deez Nails was able to provide mini manicures and nail art alongside a make-up artist who provided free make-overs.. It was loads of fun… and I got to walk away with a swag bag and cupcakes.. lol
Here are some photos. Enjoy!

Vancouver Fan Expo 2012
This past weekend I had the opportunity to not only go to my first Fan Expo, but participate as an exhibitor. For those of you who do not know what the Fan Expo is, it’s a convention revolving around Comics, Anime, Sci-Fi, and other pop culture outlets. Celebrities of various shows and movies, comic vendors, and fanatics dressed up as their favorite character were some of the type of people filled in the Vancouver Convention Center.
I represented my school (a make-up, acting, and aesthetics school) and provided the masses with Superhero/Comic nails! I honestly didn’t think we were going to be a huge hit, but apparently our booth was one of the most popular :)
Although I didn’t get the chance to explore the convention I did get a glimpse of interested costumes, passionate fanatics, and plenty more! I even met R2D2 (he was so cute.. hehe). Not only that, but I had plenty of opportunities to network and meet awesome people including the Suicide Girls of Vancouver and I even had Jessica (one of my Tumblr followers) come swing by and say hi!
If I happened to have met you there, don’t be shy and give me a shout! Here’s a few photos from the Expo!

The Superhero nail wheel made especially for the Fan Expo.

My exhibitor’s pass! I felt so boss walking around, cutting lines… like a boss.

My little nail set-up.

Special nail treatment for Tita (CupcakeDuJour)

Some of the nails I did for a few of Vancouver’s Suicide Girls!
If you like what you see, book me for an upcoming event or nail party! You know I got you ;)

Styled Bridal Shoot: FrankenCorpse Bride: Part I
Last week I had the opportunity to work with a talented group of individuals for a themed bridal photo shoot. I was invited by a friend, Richie Vo, who thought a nail artist (me!) could be a great addition to their team that comprised of him (hair-stylist), a make-up artist, clothing stylists, photographer and of course, the model!
It’s amazing how the combination of passions can truly turn nothing into something! It’s incredible! Anyway, I had such an awesome experience and I hope to work alongside this team again in the future!
Click on the photo to be directed to John Bello’s photography website and blog where you can view Part I of our photo shoot! Be sure to leave him a comment :) Also here is a list of the people I was lucky enough to work with! What an amazing bunch!

Canucks Nails for Canuck Place!

First I would like to congratulate The Vancouver Canucks in leading the Western Conference! The playoffs are fast approaching and the memories of last year’s festivities (minus the rioting) fill me with joy and excitement! (I’m sure most of you can relate). To continually celebrate and support our team, I am offering $25 Canuck nails for the remainder of the season!
Tell your friends, your friends of friends and everyone you know! Not only am I excited to support our team, but I plan on donating part of the proceeds to Canuck Place, a care center that provides palliative and respite care services for sick children in BC Canada.
With all the negativity that has risen from the 2011 riots, I feel the best way to celebrate this year is to spread positivity. That’s why donating to Canuck Place is just one small way of doing just that! If I can take this opportunity to support a great cause while cheering on our team, then I’ll do it the best way I know how!
Together, let’s cheer on the heroes we call our Vancouver Canucks but also the ones behind the scenes.. the kids!

Be sure to e-mail me at deez_nails@hotmail.com to book an appointment. And if you want to learn more about Canuck Place, you can visit their website at: canuckplace.org Let’s go Canucks!
