Thanks to everyone to came out and supported me (and Kristina from Kopacetik Jewelry) during the Car-Free Event! It was a definite success! Not only was I able meet awesome people but I had fun while doing it! Unfortunately I didn’t get a chance to walk around the actual festival, but from sounds and looks of it, it was amazing.. especially since it didn’t rain!
And to those who got Deez Nails services or products today,I thank you and hope you are all as satisfied as I am appreciative of your support!
Stay tuned, as I will be providing services for future Blim events. And if you are interested in any nail services, don’t hesitate to contact me! I’d love to fancy up your nails! =)

This past weekend I had the opportunity to provide nail art for Kailynn’s 5th birthday party! For my first children’s nail party, it was definitely a success! Why face-paint, when you can nail-paint? lol
Here are a few photos from the princess nail party!
If you live in the Vancouver area and are interested in booking me in for a nail party, don’t hesitate to inquire: firstname.lastname@example.org
Yesterday, over 130 Shoppers Drug Mart stores in Canada participated in a beauty gala in hopes of raising funds for the “Look Good Feel Better” campaign. It was an exciting day filled with prizes, refreshments, sales and awesome staff and supporters! Deez Nails was able to provide mini manicures and nail art alongside a make-up artist who provided free make-overs.. It was loads of fun… and I got to walk away with a swag bag and cupcakes.. lol
Also happening this weekend is an old friend’s birthday/fundraiser. I’ve sponsored the event by offering free nail art services as a part of some of her prize packages. So, if you are still looking for something to do on Friday come and support her charity (Richmond City Idol), wish Natasha a happy birthday, and have fun while doing so!
It’ll be a held at Gossip Nightclub and will feature a concert with some amazing and talented young performers. You can check out the event here: nJDOB
I’ve managed to fill up this month with a lot of events in terms of promoting Deez Nails. One event I am excited about is a beauty gala that is happening this coming Saturday at the Shoppers Drug Mart at Seafair Center in Richmond. I’ll be providing free manicures and nail art alongside a make-up artist who will be doing free demos as well! If you are interested, come swing by! We’ll be there from 1pm-6pm.
Here’s a little sample of what I will be providing! Hoping for a successful event!
This past weekend I had the opportunity to not only go to my first Fan Expo, but participate as an exhibitor. For those of you who do not know what the Fan Expo is, it’s a convention revolving around Comics, Anime, Sci-Fi, and other pop culture outlets. Celebrities of various shows and movies, comic vendors, and fanatics dressed up as their favorite character were some of the type of people filled in the Vancouver Convention Center.
I represented my school (a make-up, acting, and aesthetics school) and provided the masses with Superhero/Comic nails! I honestly didn’t think we were going to be a huge hit, but apparently our booth was one of the most popular :)
Although I didn’t get the chance to explore the convention I did get a glimpse of interested costumes, passionate fanatics, and plenty more! I even met R2D2 (he was so cute.. hehe). Not only that, but I had plenty of opportunities to network and meet awesome people including the Suicide Girls of Vancouver and I even had Jessica (one of my Tumblr followers) come swing by and say hi!
If I happened to have met you there, don’t be shy and give me a shout! Here’s a few photos from the Expo!
The Superhero nail wheel made especially for the Fan Expo.
My exhibitor’s pass! I felt so boss walking around, cutting lines… like a boss.
Last week I had the opportunity to work with a talented group of individuals for a themed bridal photo shoot. I was invited by a friend, Richie Vo, who thought a nail artist (me!) could be a great addition to their team that comprised of him (hair-stylist), a make-up artist, clothing stylists, photographer and of course, the model!
It’s amazing how the combination of passions can truly turn nothing into something! It’s incredible! Anyway, I had such an awesome experience and I hope to work alongside this team again in the future!
Click on the photo to be directed to John Bello’s photography website and blog where you can view Part I of our photo shoot! Be sure to leave him a comment :) Also here is a list of the people I was lucky enough to work with! What an amazing bunch!
First I would like to congratulate The Vancouver Canucks in leading the Western Conference! The playoffs are fast approaching and the memories of last year’s festivities (minus the rioting) fill me with joy and excitement! (I’m sure most of you can relate). To continually celebrate and support our team, I am offering $25 Canuck nails for the remainder of the season!
Tell your friends, your friends of friends and everyone you know! Not only am I excited to support our team, but I plan on donating part of the proceeds to Canuck Place, a care center that provides palliative and respite care services for sick children in BC Canada.
With all the negativity that has risen from the 2011 riots, I feel the best way to celebrate this year is to spread positivity. That’s why donating to Canuck Place is just one small way of doing just that! If I can take this opportunity to support a great cause while cheering on our team, then I’ll do it the best way I know how!
Together, let’s cheer on the heroes we call our Vancouver Canucks but also the ones behind the scenes.. the kids!
Be sure to e-mail me at email@example.com to book an appointment. And if you want to learn more about Canuck Place, you can visit their website at: canuckplace.org Let’s go Canucks!
Jewel and I have gone through a lot.. literally. We were distant family friends, turned co-workers.. eventually we became very good friends and now, business partner? lol
